TRIBUNNEWS.COM, Levac – On the afternoon of Sunday, September 10, 2022, an earthquake in Banten, centered on Bayah, southwest of the Lebak Regency Bayah district, damaged three houses and destroyed one.

According to Febby Rizky Pratama, head of Lebak Regency BPBD, the collapsed house was in the Cirinten district.

He told TribunBanten.com from his office yesterday, “The houses that were damaged by the earthquake are in the sub-districts of Cirinten, Bojongmanik and Leuwidamar.”

According to him, data on the impact of the Banten earthquake are still temporary. Volunteers in the field continue to collect data on damaged homes.

Damaged homes include roof damage and cracked walls from earthquakes.

At 22:00 on Sunday, Lebak BPBD recorded that only four houses were affected by the earthquake, centered in Bayah.

“We will continue to update the data and in the meantime we can report 4 homes,” he said.

The Meteorological, Climate and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) analyzed the earthquake that shook Banten on the afternoon of Sunday, September 10, 2022.

Earthquake parameters have been updated to magnitude 5.3.

According to the BMKG, the epicenter of the earthquake is at 7.01° south latitude. The sea located 22 km southwest of Banten Bayah at a depth of 106.07° east longitude, 47 km to be exact.
